24 Weeks

It has been awhile since I have updated on our little boy! I am now a little over 24 weeks along, and he is so active inside of me, I love it! I have been so lucky with this pregnancy, and haven't really been sick at all. We had our 20 week appointment about a month ago and it was so much fun. It was way better than the other ultrasounds we have received so far. We had already found out that he was a boy, but we were still excited for the "big" ultrasound to make sure he was healthy. It was amazing. We were able to see the four chambers of his heart and the blood pumping through. Our ultrasound tech was so awesome explaining every part of his cute little body to us, and the best part was finding out that so far, he is healthy! We were able to have so many pictures to take home (some in 4D!) and a DVD of the whole ultrasound, it was amazing. Our due date also moved up 3 days because he was measuring a little bigger, so his new date is the 4th of March. As for a name for our cute little guy, we aren't 100% sure yet, but as for right now we are loving the name Mason.

The little stinker was covering his face with his hands the whole time!

We are so excited for this cute little guy to come into our lives and can't wait until March is here!

It's a boy!

We are having a baby boy around the 7th of March! On the 19th we went in for our appointment and we were so excited because our doctor is awesome and does ultrasounds every appointment just because he likes to. We had heard that on our 16th week ultrasound if he can tell what the baby is he would let us know, so we couldn't wait to see if he could tell! Well, we were way disappointed when we arrived at the office and heard he was in the middle of a c-section at the hospital and wouldn't be at our appointment, which essentially means no ultrasound. The nurse could tell how bummed we were and asked if we wanted to wait a half hour when he would be done. Of course we said yes and she called the Doctor to see where he was at and how long he would be. Apparently he had decided to give the girl one last chance at pushing and had barely scheduled her for her c-section. Because he is the world's best doctor, while they were preparing her for surgery, he ran over to his office from the hospital and did an ultrasound for us! I was so grateful, and so shocked that he would come over from the hospital just to see if he could tell what our baby was! We weren't even supposed to have an ultrasound! He is the best, and I am so glad he is our doctor! As soon as he started the ultrasound it was completely obvious that our baby wanted us to know he was all boy :). The doctor said, he is definitely 100% all boy! Every time the doctor tried to get another shot, he would turn and spread his legs again just to let us know for sure he was our little boy. We were ecstatic. I am so happy to be having our first baby boy! We of course had to buy our first outfit, and I love it! The only problem is, every time I walk by it, I wish he was here so I could dress him in it and snuggle with him! We can't wait for March to come!

Sugar and Spice or Puppy Dog Tails...

We are excited to announce that we are having our first baby somewhere around March 7, 2011! We are so excited to be parents and can't wait to meet this cute little baby! I am just over 14 weeks and we get to find out if it is a boy or girl really soon! I told my 29 students that now I will have 30 kids :). They were pretty excited. We are so blessed and can't wait to hold this little boy or girl in March!

Year Update!

Besides my one post in August I hadn't posted in over a year! This year has been such an amazing year! It was my first real year teaching (2009-2010) and I had AMAZING kids! I loved them all! I had a fantastic entire school year and it couldn't have been better! My brother in law Tanner went on a mission to Peru last August, and just barely hit his year mark! My other brother in law Ryan married Chelsea and their wedding was beautiful! My brother Andrew hit is one year mark last March and will be coming home in only 6 months as well as my step brother Gavin. I moved from being the beehive advisor to the Mia Maid advisor which is awesome. My last day of school was bittersweet as I made it through my whole first year, but was sad to leave my awesome students! This summer was full of fun from going to Lake Powell and Flaming Gorge, to preparing for my brand new school year. School this year has been even better than I could have imagined. My kids are already amazing, and I am excited to see what happens! I am so happy to have had such a great year, and I can't wait for another one! (Hopefully I'm better at posting this year, instead of once a year :) ).

I woke up last night to the crash and boom of lightning and thunder. It hit so close to our house that I could feel it shake, and the thunder boomed at the exact same time the lightning hit. I immediately reached for Andy, just to notice he was gone. I yelled his name and he came running inside; he had gone outside to get Nixon out of his kennel and into his garage kennel. As I laid in his arms he calmed me down, assured me that our house was safe, and I couldn't help but feel so blessed to have him in my life to love me and calm my fears. This morning I realized what a silly thing it was to be so afraid of lightning, but it is still such a comfort just to know he will be there for me, protecting me. And the funny thing is now we know that when we have kids they are going to have to come running to Andy to comfort them during a lightning storm because I will be hiding under the covers!
